Considering the number of hexes that can completely ruin your day if you're the only monk, you should always, always, always be preveiled in RA.

This is known to be a Fort Aspenwood build, Kurzick side. So yeah, frustrates everything up.

This'll work against disorganized teams, but organized teams probably won't bat an eyelid on it.

Well it's RA.
And if you're on an RA team... you kd their monk for 20 seconds, and your team hasn't completely slaughtered theres, then it's due to crappy gameplay.
That's why there's really no reason to bring e management. I just do it for the lulz, as the topic says.

if your team hasn't killed at least one person after kd'ing a monk for 6 seconds you should leave.
I used to run this all the time in RA for kicks it pisses people off and if they are close enough you can keep the whole team down. Now that is funny to watch a team get wailed on and they can't do shit.

This is new?
Really?
I used it when I initially got the skill (thunderclap) and got flamed to death when I told about it.
I see it in RA from time to time though.

Using it in AB, its actually pretty useful considering if you have a decent spike, you can take some shrines alone.
I use [skill]Mirrored Stance[/skill] to cover.
It's also funny as hell!

In Fort Aspenwood most offenses are fired down from higher vantage points in between the inner and outer gates. You know you can just step out of range in a matter of seconds to completely avoid you? Energy cost is too great anyways. Thunderclap is at best a mediocre elite.

You missed the very important part of them being knocked down every 2 seconds....and having zero time to attack. Double damage of zero is still zero, so use whatever you want. I'd say about 90% of the time they either use defensive stance or dash to try and get away, lol.
As for using "mirrored stance" as my cover hex.....there really is no better cover hex. It has 1/4th a second cast time, costs 5 energy, and with very little investment in shadow arts, will last the entire duration of thunderclap.

Our guild is experimenting with a team build of this for TA for the heck of it. We have it down pretty good but we have a warrior with a shocking axe providing KDs for Thunderclap. Works pretty well especially when used on the monks (since they don't even get enough time to get up and cast anything to help them).
Also, this isn't new. There has been a E/R build like this out for months.

If you use this, be prepared for the "lol, noob" spam you will get from those you do it to.
Here's the build i've been using in AB:
[skill]Thunderclap[/skill][skill]Mirrored Stance[/skill][skill]Scorpion Wire[/skill][skill]Energy Blast[/skill][skill]Storm Djinn's Haste[/skill][skill]Glyph of Lesser Energy[/skill][skill]Air Attunement[/skill][skill]Conjure Lightning[/skill]
I use it in AB, with an AoE Fire ele guildie. The victim(s) is pinned down for 22 seconds, cannot run, cannot cast, cannot move......just sits there getting PISSED. All the while being spammed by AoE nukes. Usually takes about 10 seconds for them to die.
Course, scorpion wire and energy blast are completely optional. I use scorpion wire because 80% of the monks you cast thunderclap on, then cover with MS, end up stripping MS and running away soz not to get thunderpwned. Its funny, because eventually they learn your name and run from you anyway. This skill definitely has the best effect when cast on a monk near the caster backline.
For energy, just use the glyph, air attune, conjur. Then, before air attune ends, do it again. It gives you a good net + of energy.
